This print commemorates the 400th anniversary of the settlement of Jamestown, Virginia. The print features the three ships that brought the English settlers to Jamestown Island, the Godspeed, the Discovery, and the Susan Constant. Pat also included a majestic white bird in the sky above the ships, which she likes to think of as “the spirit of the eagle,” guiding and protecting the ships as they crossed the Atlantic Ocean and symbolizing the great country that was to be.
