It was the Great America Summer of Art 2017
Sharing our favorite memories, remembering our past, writing about those moments we play over and over in our minds. Yes, we organized an essay contest and accepted entries from people all over the country who were inspired by the art of P Buckley Moss; people who saw the art and felt a connection. However, it’s the beauty of art that can add fulfillment to our every day lives and fill our hearts with warmth and joy. We loved the stories people shared. All were about feelings, experiences, memories; love of family, overcoming trials and all inspired by art. Art is beautiful, but it is also powerful.

The old gas station is completely stocked with original products and covered with authentic signs from the era. We made the love of Summer art into an essay contest.
1. Memory must be from one of our special “This Great America Summer of Art” selections. (see location details below)
2. Write out your 500-1000 word memory making sure you include the name of the place (print) and how that special place is part of what this Great America is all about!
3. Include any photos of you at the location, or with the speci c art print you are writing about.
4. All essays must be the original work of the person whose name is listed on the submission. Plagiarism will result in immeditate disquali cation.
5. Submit your Memory and Pictures no later than 11:59 pm EST, August 15, 2017. If mailed it must be postmarked by August, 15, 2017.
6. Winner will be chosen based on the specific use of the location and the reason for it being part of our Great America.
7. Winner will be announced by Pat Moss on Facebook over Labor Day weekend on September 4, 2017.
8. The ownership of any submission remains the property of the writer, but entry into the contest constitutes the entrant’s permission and consent, without compensation, with or without attribution, for P. Buckley Moss, Ltd. to use, reproduce, transmit, post, distribute, adapt, edit, and/or display the submission.
