This home, belonging to Jean Thomas, is located 15 miles south of Ashland, Kentucky. Thomas, known as the “Traipsing’ Woman” traveled the mountains of the state collecting songs and folklore. In 1932, the first American Folk Song Festival was held on the porch of this home.
