In Our Farm on Old Town Run, a striking red farmhouse stands proudly in the distance, its bold color contrasting against the soft, pastel hues of the surrounding landscape. A gently winding road leads the viewer’s eye across a small wooden bridge and toward the home, inviting a sense of journey and discovery. Bare trees stretch upward in delicate lines, framing the composition and suggesting a quiet seasonal moment—perhaps late fall or early spring.

In the foreground, figures gathered near the water’s edge add life and narrative to the scene, while the reflective surface of the stream enhances the peaceful atmosphere. The farmhouse, with its classic architecture and warm presence, becomes the heart of the composition, symbolizing home, heritage, and the passage of time.

Our Farm on Old Town Run beautifully expresses connection to place, family roots, and the enduring beauty of the American countryside, making it especially meaningful for those familiar with the region or who cherish rural traditions. Style & Technique

Created using the giclée printing process, Our Farm on Old Town Run preserves the richness of Moss’s painterly textures and layered color application. The artist’s signature folk-art style is evident in the simplified architecture, expressive lines, and soft tonal transitions.

Moss uses a harmonious blend of warm and cool tones to create depth and atmosphere. The bold red of the farmhouse serves as a focal point, while the surrounding landscape is rendered in softer hues of peach, blue, and earth tones. The delicate linework of the trees adds structure without overwhelming the composition.

The perspective—leading the viewer along the road and over the bridge—demonstrates Moss’s skill in creating narrative movement within a tranquil setting, allowing the viewer to feel as though they are stepping into the scene.
