Collector’s Note

This print commemorates the 100th anniversary of The Community Hospital and Nursing School in Springfield, Ohio. The school began operations in 1887 as a 12-bed facility known as Mitchell-Thomas Hospital. In 1904, a second building, City Hospital, began operations. Along with it the Community Hospital School of Nursing opened with its first class of 5 students.
