Forever An Angel Ornament
Pat was painting in her studio when she first heard of the tragic deaths of 32 students and faculty at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007. What came off her brush that day as she listened to the news reports is this spontaneous expression of loss and hope; the ascending angel, bearing a heart and accompanied by doves.
In 2009 Pat partnered with the Virginia General Federation of Women’s Clubs to help raise funds for the traumahawk ambulance for Virginia Tech. The angel she painted at the time of the tragedy is represented here in a heart shaped design, with a background of Virginia Tech colors and a border of 32 hearts representing the 32 victims. This image is reproduced as an ornament and a brooch/pendant. Part of the proceeds from the sale of each of these items is being donated by P. Buckley Moss Galleries, Ltd. and her authorized galleries to the ambulance fund.
