Horse and Landscape Painting

• Untitled Painting by American artist P. Buckley Moss. Horses are one of Pat Moss’s favorite subjects to paint and she has her own recognizable style. As a young girl, she wanted to own a horse but since that was not possible, she took a job working with horses so she could always ride. In her paintings of horses you will more than likely always view a flowing mane, large dark eyes an a definatel swagger to its stance.
• Colors: Soft browns with a hint of rust, cream and of course black. The background features a cluster of Moss iconic black trees against a soft blue, aqua and pale rose sky. The “Z” shaped grounds boast a shade of pale greens with a touch of gray. Pat’s mix of colors is another facet of her work that is breathtaking; not something you will likely find on any color wheel.
